This creamy avocado and coconut chocolate mousse is my favourite quick and easy sweet treat at the moment! I adore a good chocolate and coconut flavoured dessert!
This mousse is simple to create and a healthier option which is suitable for vegan, gluten and dairy free diets. Combine this mousse with some fresh berries and dark chocolate and it is a total winner.
1 large or 2 small avocados
1/4 cup coconut and almond milk
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Desiccated coconut (to sprinkle on top of mousse)
Mix all the ingredients together in a blender or food processor until smooth. Chill and eat straight away. It will store in a fridge for a couple of days if in an air tight container. This recipe makes enough for 2-3 people depending on how big your portion sizes are.
